Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson is Mexican-born musician born into a musical family. The majority of her youth listening to classical music Boleros from the past, traditional ranchero or romantic music along with classic classical music. Ana loves tangos as well opera and dramatic performances. At age 16 she began to sing and study music with her mother. Flavio, a Mexican Tenor with a renowned reputation, began giving her a more intensive vocal instruction. She continued her musical studies at the School of Music of the University of Guadalajara, and afterward at the School of Sacred Music in Toluca, Mexico. Her early professional career included performances with a variety of chamber ensembles and opera choruses in Guadalajara. After moving in America, United States, she performed as a member of the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. Then in 2002 she relocated to Southern California. She currently is a part of Ensemble XXI of Redlands and is a frequent solo performer in traditional Latin American music at private occasions. In addition to being a local performer and instructor, her love of arts and music keeps her active in a variety of projects. Ana is also a previous part of the Community Chorus of Redlands, the Inland Master Chorale, and the Performance Loft. Ana finds it a privilege to be able to bring to others her passion for traditional Latin American music. She hopes to inspire younger generations to preserve the traditions.
