Rosalia
Rosalia Vila is also referred to as Rosalia, is an Spanish singer from flamenco. Since her teen years she has been at the edges of popular and traditional music. Additionally, she explores genres including hip-hop, trap and soul. Her voice is said by no less an artist than the flamenco musician Pepe Habichuela as sweet and sharp however with a bit of bite similar to the old ones. El Mal Querer is her second album, released in 2018, which was critically and commercially successful. Following Los Angeles, her debut album, released in 2017, was awarded an Latin Grammy for Best New Artist and also the Latin Grammy nod. La Fama featuring Weeknd debuted in 2021. Motomami included songwriting collaborations with a variety of artists, including Cory Henry, James Blake as well as others. The album came out in 2022 because of an appearance on Saturday Night Live appearance by Rosalia, the vocalist of Chicken Teriyaki. Rosalia became the first Spanish solo performer to be a part of the show on Saturday Night Live. Along with taking home three more Latin Grammy Awards for Motomami Rosalia also became the first woman to win this award twice. Latin Album of the Year twice.
