Elizabeth Gillies (born Elizabeth Gillis) is an American singer, actress and music producer. She is popularly known as Lucy in her role on the Nickelodeon sitcom Victorious and Jade West for the musical 13. Her professional journey began as an actress for commercials. In 2007 she debuted on television as a character in The Black Donnellys. In the Nickelodeon television series Victorious, she appeared as Jade West between 2010 and 2013. In 2015-16, she was a prominent role on the comedy series on FX called Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll. Elizabeth Egan Gillies' family is located in New Jersey where her birthplace was. She was born in Haworth in New Jersey. She is of Italian ethnicity. Elizabeth Gillies studied at Haworth Public School. Then, she attended Northern Valley Regional High School Demarest. In her early years as a child actor, she played in numerous films including Babel (2006) and The The Curious Case of Benjamin Button 2008 and Phoebe in Wonderland 2008. In 2010 she was nominated to the Critics Choice Movie Awards for most promising young actor due to her part in Sofia Coppola's Somewhere. She was recognized by her performance as the lead in the sci-fi thriller Super 8, which won her the Spotlight Award in the Hollywood film festival. She played the title role of the title character in We Bought a Zoo, Ginger & Rosa and Maleficent.
